Our TDS dance company ( missing 2 from picture) is small but
a powerhouse in the dance world... they won more awards (titles,
scholarships, performance team invites, and high scores) each
competition than we had entries... now, that is AMAZING !!!

scores/top ten honorees (6)
This honor is awarded to a group or person who has
worked very hard all dance year toward a specific goal. These honorees
have taken first place in our
eyes !
To Julissa B, a seriously
hearing- impaired student, who worked hard all year to be in our petite
competition group. Her dedication to dance is a shining example to all
students who are handicapped. You can be anything you are willing to work
for!! Congratulations Julissa!

Did you know that our first "BIG WIN " was in
1982 ! Back then,
when dance competitions first started, the students were judged on talent
and interview! All competitors (solos, duets, and groups) in an age
bracket (12 under - junior)(13 up - senior) of all dance types competed
for only the 3 top spots. TDS took the FIRST PLACE slot in the Junior
division and we have been winning awards ever since!!
Did you know that TDS students won First Place in National Competitions
for Ballet 10 years in a row?... A total of 15 years altogether!!
How about knowing that Every year that
TDS went to National
Competitions, we took a first place, high score, title, or top 10 overall WIN ?
Did you know that
Miss Debbie's students have gone
on to become Professional Artists in such places as
Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Florida State Opera Company,
the t.v. show "so you think you can dance?",
the Ford Modeling agency,
Off Broadway productions,
Radio City Music Hall., and even opened their own dance schools? But, even
with all the prestige her older students bring, she still loves her
Preschool classes the best and it is there that she feels her
greatest accomplishments happen !
