Watch for our Seasonal Newsletters
- These informative page(s) will keep you in the "know"
about studio happenings. They are posted at the studio and handed out to
parents during the first week (pay week) of the season.
Registration Information -
New students (and their parents) should stop by the studio during Open
House (in August or September ) to work with a staff member who can find a class best
suited to them. Class size is limited . Returning students may register by
phone but need a parent to sign the registration form to be placed in
classes. Call the studio (413 - 533 -4008) for Open House dates and times.
A one time Registration fee of $5.00 is due at sign ups. Students are
accepted into classes all year long but it is best to start in September.
Dress Code
- Females are required to wear a leotard (bodysuit) and
tights (convertibles are best). Dance shorts or capris are acceptable over
your bodysuit. Body fitting warm up clothes are permitted in the
colder months. Males are required to wear a tight fitting t-shirt with
shorts or jazz pants. Adults may wear T-shirts and dance pants with
their leotards. Shoes , tights, and body wear can be bought through
the "curtain call for class" program. See the office for more details on
styles.
Attendance - An effort
must be made to attend every class. All students should arrive 15 minutes
before class time. There are no refunds for missed classes. Perfect
Attendance Trophies are awarded. Students may take a class "here and
there" if they can not commit to scheduled sessions but they will not be participating in performances
or other privileges of class students.
Missed Lessons -
Students may take up to three "make-up" lessons in any class of
the same or lower level to still be considered for Perfect
Attendance and as a regular member of that class. Make-up lessons
must be completed by the end of May. Remember to check in at the office for make-ups.
Holidays - The studio
is open on Monday Holidays except Labor Day and Memorial Day. The studio
is closed for Halloween Day, Thanksgiving (Thursday and Friday), Christmas
Vacation , and both Winter and Spring School vacation weeks. Company
Rehearsals are often scheduled during vacation times.
Snow Days - Call the
studio to check for cancellations after 4 PM on week days and after 10 AM
on Saturdays. TDS is generally closed when the schools are closed . If we are
in session when school is not, there will be a special message on the
answering machine.
Competitive Troupes -
Students may enter one of our companies by audition or recommendation from
the staff. Company classes are for students who are dedicated, interested
in all dance types, and ready to perform. See our competition stats
section.
